Juvederm®, RHA®, and Revanesse®
Filler can be used to replace volume lost during the aging process; to enhance existing features; and to sculpt the face to create optimum balance. Made of hyaluronic acid which can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, filler can add hydration and youthful plumpness to the tissue. Our bodies naturally break down hyaluronic acid over time and most fillers last a minimum of 9+ months. Filler is commonly used in the lips, cheeks, chin, jaw, tear troughs (under eyes), and lines around the mouth.

FAQs
How do I prep for my filler appointment?
Avoid blood-thinning medications or supplements (like aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E) for at least 48 hours before your appointment to minimize bruising. Stay hydrated, get a good night’s sleep, and avoid alcohol the day before. Your provider will go over any specific instructions based on the area being treated.
What’s the aftercare?
After your filler treatment, avoid touching, massaging, or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 24 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, or alcohol for the first day. Ice packs can help reduce swelling, and your provider will give you detailed instructions tailored to your treatment.
Do I get numbed?
Yes! We use a very strong medical-grade numbing cream to ensure your comfort. For lip treatments, we also offer the option of a dental block for extra anesthesia, so your experience is as painless as possible.
Will I bruise and swell?
Yes, some bruising and swelling are completely normal after filler. How much varies from person to person, but it’s typically mild and temporary.
How long does the swelling last?
Swelling is usually most noticeable during the first 1–5 days and typically resolves fully by two weeks. Your provider will give tips to help minimize swelling and support optimal results.
How often do I need to get filler?
It depends on your goals and how your body metabolizes the filler. Some clients touch up once a year, while others may go 2–4 years before needing another treatment. Your provider will help create a personalized maintenance plan.
How many syringes will I need for my first time?
For first-time clients, we typically start conservatively:
-
Lips: ½ syringe
-
Other areas: 1 syringe
This approach allows us to achieve natural results and adjust as needed for your unique facial structure.
